From the supplier: The Florida Senate had gruelling sessions in Nov 1992 when its candidates for president, Republican Ander Crenshaw and Democrat Pat Thomas, repeatedly tied in nine rounds of voting. The senators solved the dilemma by dividing between them control of the two-year term of a Senate president. Crenshaw winded up as the president for the first year ending in Oct 1993, while Thomas got the the second year. Both men, however, have the authority to veto on personnel concerns.
